Description

Brighton Motorsports is pleased to present this absolutely stunning, completely restored 1968 Triumph TR250. This car was purchased as a ‘work-in-progress’ from the fourth owner who had owned it for over 30 years.

The car was mostly disassembled; with many parts and assemblies in boxes. It was impossible to drive it or to start the engine.

The car you see is the result of approximately 4 1/2 years of restoration. All of the design and engineering of all modifications; the integration of all third-party equipment, and reassembly of the car and engine was done by the current owner.

The interior of this stunning TR250 features Custom-dyed interior crash pads, center console support, and custom-made under-dash electrical control panels. Custom dyed center-mounted arm-rest console with integrated cubby along with Leather-covered TR250 seats with three point seat belts. Wool carpets with carpet pad and additional sound reducing underlayment. A Modern stereo/CD/MP3 with custom painted and mounted front and rear speakers.

Roll bar-mounted fire extinguisher and third brake light. Custom designed and built Plexiglas wind-wings.

Custom made trunk floor assembly provides a relatively level surface, covering smaller spare tire with 165 X 15 radial tire on a restored TR3 wheel. Custom ‘TR factory style’ tool-roll and car-color matched ‘working’ tool box.

Under the hood of this TR250 features a Complete engine rebuild, with new pistons, bearings, valves, valve guides and tappets; all other components rebuilt. A Jet-Hot coated manifold and header pipe, with stainless steel exhaust system were also installed. Electronic Distributor less Ignition System (EDIS) from donor Ford V-6, includes Mega-Jolt computer controlled timing with near instant ignition advance. Radiator-mounted ‘pusher’ electric fan with thermostatic and manual controls. Custom made ABS fan shroud with integrated ‘cold’ ram-air input supply.

K&N high performance air cleaners in the stock air cleaner housing fed from ‘cold-air’ intake adaptors.

Ratco cable throttle control and improved throttle shaft bushings.

KN ‘mag-style’ wheels with ‘fake knock-off spinners’ and P205 X 15 radial tires

The Transmission includes a Complete rebuilt standard all synchro 4-speed transmission and Laycock de Norman Ville Type A electric overdrive, providing a total of 7 forward speeds, along with a Custom gear-shift mounted overdrive control.

The electrical system has been upgraded and includes Up-rated and upgraded complete new wiring harness utilizing modern relay controls and bladed fuses. Up-rated 60 Amp AC Delco alternator and modern gear reduction starter

Auxiliary electrical control panels mounted under dash. Custom-designed ‘Parking Brake ON’ warning light.

Daytime running light module turns on head lights at reduced intensity for improved highway safety.

Standard side-marker lights integrated into turn-indicator circuits with custom roll-bar mounted third brake light with solid state ‘flasher’, LED tail, turn, & stop lights for ‘brighter’ lamps and all for improved safety.

Custom courtesy LED lights: under hood, glove-box, and trunk.

Overall this 1968 Triumph TR250 is ready to go in every way. This TR250 makes an excellent driver and can also be taken to shows to wow the judges.
