1600 cc Ford Engine
We are proud to offer a
1967 Russell Alexis Formula Ford
1967 Marked the beginning of Formula Ford racing. In 1967 all Formula Fords were Lotus built until September 1967 when the Russell Alexis made its debut.
With less than 4 months left in the 1967 season Russell Alexis FF cars finished with more points than Lotus!
This early car has the more attractive and desired Cigar nose body finished in Green and Yellow with the classic race seat finished in Black. Remarkably, this car still retains many of its original Alexis pieces.
The 1600 cc Ford Engine was recently freshened as the entire car was prepped for the next race season. The car has not been tracked since so it is fresh and ready to go. It has an early Hewland transaxle and a fresh set of Dunlops on Vintage correct steel wheels. This car is ready to be raced in any Formula Ford event.
The previous owner raced the car for the last 10 years. Our customer/friend bought this car in 2014 with the intention of racing it and had the car freshly painted. Unfortunately due to some physical restraints he will not be able to enjoy it as planned. It is offered for sale but interesting sports car trades will be entertained.
