Brighton Motorsports is please to present this high-performance Backdraft Racing 1965 Shelby Cobra Replica. Built it 2004, it is chassis #66.

It is finished in high-quality PPG Paint in Sherwood Green with cream stripes, over a tan leather interior. The inner fender wells are undercoated in Line-X. Powered by a Ford 351 Windsor small block engine, up-fitted and equipped with Edelbrock RPM Air Gap intake & carburetor, Victor Jr. Edelbrock aluminum heads, Ford finned period correct valve covers, billet flywheel, Hayes clutch, March drive pulleys, Power master high torque starter and PM high output alternator.

Other performance equipment includes K&N X-Stream air filter assembly, Canton road racing oil pan, thermostatically controlled dual electric cooling fans, complete MSD ignition, 9-mm wires (with MSD timing adjustment knob on dash); silver powder-coated (inside & out) Backdraft headers with chrome shields.

It’s equipped with a T-5 5-speed manual transmission with short-throw shifter, and BMW E36 fully independent rear suspension, front lower wishbone with adjustable coil-over struts, 4-wheel power disc brakes, electric fuel pump, and 19-gallon stainless steel fuel tank.

The interior is finished to a correct standard with leather seats, dash, and floor panels, and the dash includes custom fitted 8-Pro Comp instrument package (including clock, fuel pressure and transmission temperature) period correct toggles, and push-button start. Holding everyone in snugly in place is the Backdraft 5-point racing harness, and your hands grip a hardwood/chrome steering wheel. The trim is completed with Stainless steel roll bar, remote Secret Audio AM/FM with 10-disc CD changer and all period correct badging.

This is a no-nonsense, high performance Cobra that has always been garaged and never been in rain – a Southern Arizona vehicle from day one and in superb condition. This snake always draws a crowd and looks and sounds like a Cobra should, and it’s a blast to drive!
