Mitsubishi Silver Pigeon C90 1959
Brighton Motorsports is excited to present this unique 1957 Mitsubishi Silver Pigeon C-90 Scooter. This example has been the recipient of a light cosmetic and mechanical restoration and is in great condition. It starts, runs and stops as if new. It sports a fantastic period color combo of Mint Green with Dark Green accents. This Pigeon will reach 45mph thanks to a strong 200cc 4-cycle air cooled motor. The Yokohama tires have very little wear with no cracking or dry rotting. Also included are 2 new tail light lenses. The C-90 model was the most sophisticated version built and had a Vari-matic drive, turn signals, a horn, and a "dual" type battery system that enabled the rider to switch the electrical system over to the battery at low speeds to keep the lighting system operating brightly. In the 50’s Motorcyclist magazine voted it “best in styling” 3 years in a row. Production of these scooters ended in 1963 with a total of 463,000 produced. Even though that is a relatively large number they are very rarely seen in the U.S. nowadays. The story behind the distribution and sales of these is just as unique as the scooters themselves, including being available at Sears and Montgomery Wards stores. This is your chance to get a rare and cool piece of history and an efficient commuter all in one.
